Overgrown
Overgrown and unkempt,
a solitary chair calls to me.
Amid the brush and bramble,
I can submit to nature.
Untouched by caring hands,
the chair marks the spot
where time knows only
the shift in shadows.
Simple disregard prompts
my comfort on so many
lonely afternoons. I
sit and daydream there.
One day, this forgotten
parcel will be remembered
and be razed of its attraction.
Until then, I shall remain.
a solitary chair calls to me.
Amid the brush and bramble,
I can submit to nature.
Untouched by caring hands,
the chair marks the spot
where time knows only
the shift in shadows.
Simple disregard prompts
my comfort on so many
lonely afternoons. I
sit and daydream there.
One day, this forgotten
parcel will be remembered
and be razed of its attraction.
Until then, I shall remain.
